Offering snow skiing, hiking, and table tennis, the environmentally friendly Skotel Alpine Resort Whakapapa is located in the very heart of Whakapapa, merely 5 minutes' walk from Edge to Edge. Overlooking the landscape, the 3-star hotel lies a stone's throw from the Tama Lakes and includes a hot tub and a sauna.

Guests can access the Mead's Wall about 2 km from this perfect resort, while the Ridge Walking Track is a mere 150 metres away. The Skotel Alpine Resort is also only 550 metres from Whakapapanui Stream. The property is located in the ski area, near hot springs and a mountain. Our favourite hotel in Tongariro National Park, staff was helpful. Everything was nice including location and views. A pleasant bar does the trick. The owner upon arrival was friendly. The balcony was a wonderful addition to the room. Also, they provide Wi-Fi.
